HeartMath and Resilience Coaching

Be the best version of you!

The importance of resilience
& self-regulation

Our world is constantly changing, whether we want it to or not. Being resilient and coherent helps you remain in balance, connected and adaptive so you can be the best version of you… every day!

We are committed to naturally boosting well-being, performance and resilience, and we naturally align with HeartMath® Institute which are focused on helping activate the heart of humanity.

Resilience is the capacity to prepare for, recover from and adapt in the face of stress, adversity or challenge. So not only can you “bounce back” but you have more ability to avoid getting in those situations in the first place.

Resilience and self-regulation equals energy efficiency. It's like having a fully charged inner battery!

This gives you the ability to:

* think more clearly

* be in control of your mind and emotions

* respond rather than react to challenging situations

be more “present” or mindful

* live a more conscious, heart focused life

Resilience and self-regulation capacity gives you the ability to flow through challenges with more ease and more energy… it allows you to “roll with the punches”!

Boosting your inner battery

The four primary areas of resilience are physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

Low energy in any of these areas affects the others and interferes with our resilience and ability to self-regulate.

It is in the emotional area where most people drain their inner battery.

Greater resilience leads to greater self-regulation capacity which gives you a greater ability to maintain your composure when challenged.

Scientists call this self-regulation and it can be measured by heart rate variability devices and systems such as the Inner Balance Bluetooth® and Em Wave® Pro software system.

Self-regulation is influenced by our emotions and you can see if you're draining or renewing your energy in these devices which measures heart rate variability patterns.

Emotions such as anxiety, frustration or stress show up as irregular jagged patterns called incoherent heart rate variability. This means your brain and heart are out of sync and draining your energy.

Renewing emotions such as compassion, courage and appreciation create a more ordered harmonious pattern indicating the brain and nervous system are more in sync . This is called a coherent heart rate variability state and indicates you are managing yourself and reserving energy.

To summarise, when we are in a coherent state, not only does it mean we’re more resilient and self-regulating but we’re also increasing our ability to perform, to create and to channel our energy into our purpose and task with more joy and in an energy efficient state!

This helps us find balance in all areas of our resilience or life.

The benefit of personal & social coherence

Personal coherence is when your heart mind and emotions and physical systems are operating in sync and resonating in cooperative alignment.

Social coherence is a stable, harmonious alignment of relationships that enables an efficient flow of energy and communication between people.

Researchers say the most successful groups (including families) and organisations operate more coherently in that positive energetic state.

Personal and social coherence benefits:

* families

* workplaces

* sporting groups

 * support groups

* schools

* colleges

Creating a coherent social environment can lift others and bring out the best in all of us.

What are you feeding “the energy field” today?

How HeartMath & Resilience Coaching reduces stress

We spend much of our life at work, which can prove highly satisfying or stressful, according to the environment experienced by the individual. This is just as relevant if you are an employee, volunteer or executive!

An unfavourable working environment can cause unhealthy stress, impact our areas of resilience and lead to loss of performance and even illness.

According to a recent study by the World Health Organisation, anxiety and depression cost the world economy $1 trillion a year in terms of productivity loss.

Optimising health, performance and well-being in the workplace creates cheerful and resilient individuals and organisations and, at the same time, happy families and societies.

The effectiveness of HeartMath technology & methods

HeartMath Institute is a non-profit educational & research organisation founded by Doc Childre in California in 1991 with a vision to help people of all ages reconnect with their hearts, feel the balance and revitalisation through stress reduction and learn to self-regulate their feelings.

At HeartMath Institute the 26 years of work and research of hundreds of doctors, psychiatrists, psychologists, neuroscientists, has greatly contributed to the better understanding of the effects of anxiety and positive emotions on health, the interaction between the heart and the brain, and the intuitive intelligence of the heart.

The Institute’s researches proved that the production of permanent positive emotions facilitates a holistic shift of the body into a specific condition which can be measured and evaluated scientifically.

This condition is called heart coherence because it is characterised by an increased order and harmony both psychologically (mentally and emotionally) and physically.

This has resulted in specific techniques and the creation of special monitoring devices that are proven to help both mental and physical health.  We use the most popular devices which are available to our coaching clients.

Studies conducted with over 11.500* people have shown improvements in mental and emotional well-being in just 6-9 weeks using HeartMath training and technology:

* 24% improvement in the ability to focus

* 30% improvement in sleep

* 38% improvement in calmness

* 46% drop in anxiety

* 48% drop in fatigue

* 56% drop in depression

*N= 11,903 Percent of individuals responding often to always on normed and validated pre and post Personal and Organizational Quality Assessment (POQA-R)

What acclaimed experts have said about the techniques of HeartMath Institute

The potential benefits of faithful applications of the HeartMath Institute include improvement of cardiovascular function, lowering of arterial pressure, greater serenity, reduction of stress-related psychosomatic symptoms, greater emotional stability, release from tyranny and the devastating for the health implications of chronic anger and hostility and, in my opinion, a reduction of physical pain.
